the press conference announcing Trocellen's
plan to build a 100,000 square foot facility
in Augusta.
The
Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is pleased
to announce that the German-based Trocellen
Group has acquired 13.3 acres in the Forward
Augusta Industrial Park, with plans to construct
a 100,000 square-foot facility within the
next two years. The company, which will
employ 40 to 50 people within five years,
will produce chemically cross-linked polyolefin
foam and value-added combinations involving
these base materials.
The
Augusta site selection was based on numerous
criteria such as labor availability, energy,
economic encouragement, and an exceptional
industrial culture complete with local training
programs. Managing Director Bernd van Husen,
of the Trocellen Group commented, The
Augusta-Aiken area is a strategic choice relative
to the future of many industries. You can
read any trade journal and regularly see manufacturing
companies moving to the South. More
than one-third of Trocellens global
production goes into automotive applications.
