NON-AGRICULTURAL EMPLOYMENT
Total employment in Augusta-Aiken MSA grew by 7.6% between 1990-2000 from 237,960 to 256,330, with all estimates predicting continued growth. Service industries dominate employment in the counties, with wholesale retail trade, government and manufacturing also topping the list.
