CONVENIENT AIR TRANSPORTATION
Augusta has two airports: Augusta Regional Airport at Bush Field and Daniel Field. These two facilities are owned by the Augusta consolidated government and operated by appointed commissions.

AUGUSTA REGIONAL AIRPORT
The Augusta Regional Airport at Bush Field is located 7 miles from downtown Augusta on Doug Barnard Parkway (56 spur) south of Bobby Jones Expressway (I-520).

Over 200,000 airline passengers per year take nonstop flights from the Augusta Regional Airport to three major airline hubs - Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Charlotte. Delta Connection carriers Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) and COMAIR will offer non-stop service to Atlanta and Cincinnati - nine daily flights to ATL and two daily flights to CVG. US Airways Express provides seven daily flights to CLT.

The airport has two asphalt intersecting runways. The North - South runway (17 - 35) is 8,000' x 150' and is equipped with a Category 1 Instrument Landing System. The East - West runway (8 - 26) is 6,000' x 150'. Both are equipped with high intensity runway lights.

Avis, Hertz, Budget and National provide the in-terminal automobile rental service. The airport hotel has a complete restaurant, lounge and meeting room. Long-term and short-term parking is available.

The Augusta Regional Airport at Bush Field also offers full service airfreight facilities complete with loading docks and airside ramp access. The airport also has a jet engine rebuild and major maintenance is provided by Garrett Aviation, a subsidiary of General Electric. The Augusta Regional Airport at Bush Field has a fixed base operator, Bush Field Aviation Services.
